UPDATED September14, 1998

THE FAT BOBs are proud to announce that we'll be hosting the FIRST ANNUAL COPPER CITY BLUES SUMMIT on October 3, 1998, at THE COVE, in Rome, NY.  We're very excited about this 'cause it's bound to be a blast.  Five great bands, a pig roast, drink specials, guest emcees, and, of course, the inevitable "all star jam".  Here's the lineup:

"Midnight" Mike Grimaldi
The Jimmy Wolff Band
The Mojo Navigators
The Nasty Cats
The Fat Bobs

Following the last act, an "all star jam" will happen with musicians from the featured bands jammin' together and appearances by special guests.  With all the bluesmen (and women) in these parts, ya never know who's gonna show up!

Oh Well...The DINOSAUR BARBEQUE was rockin'. We all had a real good time. Thanks to all the F.O.B.'s (that's "Friends of Bob") that came out and helped make it such a big success. And special thanks to that Dinosaur staff(...they work their asses off!), and Joel the Soundman for makin' us sound so good (couldn't have done it without ya' Joel). The surprise appearance by the bachelor-ette party was definitely the high point of the night. Ladies....if you're out there....what would we have to do to get you to come to all our gigs? AND to the (OH WELL) people that passed the "note" to the drummer, please email us.

Open mic at SHIFTY's is goin' great so far. There's no shortage of talent in this town. Thanks to "repeat offenders", Colin A., Midnight Mike, Rockin' Ron, and the mighty Frank. And also to you first timers and open mic night virgins! We'll be there the rest of the month, so stop on down.

Be sure to tune in to WZOZ 103.1 FM (Oneonta, NY) on Tuesday nights, 7-9 PM for THE BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL, "2 hours of hot blues and lowdown boogie" hosted by Mark Drnek.  Mark will be featuring an interview with THE FAT BOBS, so don't miss it!

A special hello to "LINDA FROM TEXAS". Thanks for your thoughtful email. Consider yourself a F.O.B. (that's "Friend of Bob").
